  • Frazer Holiday Book Distribution

    Today at Frazer School, In cooperation with NYSUT and the Albany Consistory #90, a Charitable Organization ,students benefited from the donation of over 1,700 books!

    The donated of the books was made in the name of Syracuse resident Grady Edge who has a literacy program named after him in Albany area.

    In total, 1,700 new books (retail value $15,000) from the First Book Foundation (www.FirstBook.org) were given away to the students of Frazer in an effort to ensure access to books and reading materials in their homes and to increase ELA scores. In addition, three (3) $100 gift cards were were also given away teachers of Frazer School.

    STA would like to thank Albany Consistory #90 for their generous contribution and thank NYSUT and the SCSD for their cooperation in organizing the event and distributing the books.

    STA is hoping to work together with NYSUT to arrange a similar event at another school in the spring.
