Member Benefits and Services School Employees of Central New York Federal Credit Union The credit union is a member-owned, non-profit, full-service financial institution. Direction and control is provided by a voluntary Board of Directors who are elected by the membership at the annual meeting. Credit union membership is a free benefit offered by sponsor groups which have requested credit union services for its employees, association members, club members, students and family members. Each account is federally insured up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration. The Credit Union has many member services too numerous to list. Notary Public Service All members can take advantage of the free Notary Public Service. Just call (x4526) or stop in during regular business hours at 909 Butternut Street. Scholarships Each May, STA awards two (2) scholarships to the children of STA members that will be graduating in that particular year. Applications are available in March and the winners are notified at the May Representative Assembly. Each year we also receive notification from various sources of other scholarships that are available to our students. We will keep you posted as they come in.
